Itinerary

1 Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa

An energetic urban hub for finance with a dynamic arts scene and on-trend café culture, Johannesburg is your journey’s jumping-off point.

Intercontinental Johannesburg O.R.Tambo Airport

Meals:

2 Livingstone, Zambia – Treehouse Beside The Zambezi

Livingstone is the gateway to Victoria Falls, Africa’s most jaw-dropping natural wonder. Just upstream from the falls, the rustic-chic treehouses of Sussi & Chuma Lodge, an A&K Sanctuary occupy a blissfully peaceful spot on a bend in the Zambezi River, where hippos wallow and graze among the jackalberry trees. After your flight touches down in Livingstone, settle into your private tree house and relax before a boat cruise with game viewing this afternoon.

Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma

Meals:

3 Livingstone – Face To Face With The Falls

The local Lozi name it the “Smoke that Thunders,” a wholly fitting epithet for Africa’s flowing marvel, where the Zambezi River roars 300 feet down a chasm on its zigzagging course between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Set out on a guided walking tour of the falls, taking in the rainbows and towers of mist as the Zambezi tumbles into the chasm below. Delve into the wildlife-rich forests of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on a shared game drive and visit Nakatindi Village to see a local project supported by A&K Philanthropy.

Meals:

4 Okavango Delta, Botswana – A Vast Wildlife Haven

Cross the border into Botswana en route to the airport in Kasane, where you board a bush plane to Stanley's Camp, set on a vast private concession in the Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world. Touch down in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. A watery haven spread across more than a million acres of permanent swamp and seasonally flooded plains, the Okavango Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that attracts countless animals from throughout Southern Africa to its thriving ecosystem.

Meals:

5 Okavango Delta – Safari From Dawn Till Dusk

Continue exploring the teeming delta on guided morning and afternoon game drives in a customized 4x4 vehicle. You may opt to safari on foot, taking a bush walk with an armed, expert guide instead of a drive, slip into a seasonal ride by mokoro (dugout canoe) or join a nighttime game-viewing drive.

Meals:

6 Okavango Delta – Lush Predator Capital

Fly by bush plane to your next stay, extraordinary Chief’s Camp, located on an island in Moremi Game Reserve. The camp features ten stylish bush pavilions each with a private dining area, tranquil outdoor seating area and a terrace pool — all perfect for absorbing the surrounding plains and majestic African skies. Widely acknowledged as the “Predator Capital of Africa,” this is one of the best places in Botswana to see big game — lions, leopards, elephants and Cape buffalo — drawn here by the lush delta. Cheetahs and spotted hyenas also make the scene. View game with your experienced guides or watch life unfold from your private viewing deck.
