Day 2: CHARLESTONHeart of Lowcountry Start the day with a private guided tour of Charleston, where cobblestone streets, historic homes, and waterfront vistas reveal the city's rich past and enduring charm. Continue to Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens, one of the South's most recognized historic estates, for a guided visit that includes a presentation on Gullah culture and traditions. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore Charleston at your own pace. Browse the renowned Charleston City Market, visit Fort Sumter National Monument, or take in the skyline and harbor views on a relaxing cruise through Charleston Harbor. This evening, gather for dinner at a local restaurant and savor regional specialties inspired by the flavors and traditions of the Lowcountry. (B,D)

TOUR HIGHLIGHT
Explore Boone Hall Plantation, one of America’s oldest working farms, on a guided visit of the mansion, gardens, and the Black History in America exhibit. Once known for cotton and pecans, the property still grows strawberries, tomatoes, peaches, and other Southern produce along Wampacheone Creek, where the Boone Hall property has been cultivated since the Boone family established the plantation in 1681.




Day 3: CHARLESTON–BEAUFORT–SAVANNAH, GEORGIASights of the Civil War Depart Charleston for picturesque Beaufort, a town that has preserved much of its pre-revolutionary character. Tour the town by [LF] horse-drawn carriage through narrow, oak-lined streets past the former homes of wealthy cotton growers. This afternoon, continue to romantic Savannah, America’s first planned city under the Oglethorpe Plan. (B)

Day 5: SAVANNAH–JEKYLL ISLAND Golden Georgia Coast Depart Savannah for Georgia’s Golden Isles, a chain of barrier islands known for coastal scenery and historic charm. Visit St. Simons Island Lighthouse & Museum to learn about the region’s maritime heritage and enjoy lunch featuring coastal flavors and views of the surrounding shoreline. Continue to Jekyll Island for a two-night stay at the historic Jekyll Island Club. The remainder of the day is at leisure to unwind and enjoy the island setting. This evening, your Tour Director will be available with recommendations for dining nearby. (B,L)

Day 6: JEKYLL ISLANDHistory & Coastal Charm Enjoy a relaxed start to the day before exploring the Jekyll Island Historic District on a guided trolley tour. Once an exclusive retreat for some of America's most influential families, the remarkable collection of late 19th-century cottages and club buildings offers a fascinating glimpse into the Gilded Age. Enjoy free time the remainder of the day to enjoy the island at your own pace. This evening, gather with your Tour Director and travel companions for an elegant farewell dinner at the historic Jekyll Island Club, a memorable setting to reflect on the experiences, discoveries, and friendships made throughout your journey.
